Turn on 24/7 recording.
Smoothest streaming experience. See the steps on Setup. Available on Pro, Power Pro, and Plug-in cameras only — on battery cameras it will reduce battery life.
Battery cameras: use Auto.
Live drains battery fast. On Apple TV, open Settings and switch the camera's mode from Live to Auto — feeds stay close to live.
Choppy feed? Check Wi-Fi.
If one camera is shaky while the others are fine, it's almost always that camera's signal. Move the camera or add a mesh point.
Reorder or hide cameras.
On Apple TV, open Settings → Cameras. Move feeds into the order you want, or turn any one off.
Camera not loading? Switch to 1080p.
If one camera shows a black screen while the others are fine, it's usually set to 2K. In the Ring app, open that camera → Video Settings and set the resolution to 1080p. The live feed returns in a few seconds — and on a TV, 1080p looks just as sharp.
